The president of Dongguk University WISE and his party visited China's Shandong Province Study Abroad Center, Qingdao University, and the Qingdao Korean Association from July 3 to 6 to lay the foundation for international exchange and expansion of glocal cooperation between region, industry, and academia.  

This year, as an accredited university by International Education Quality Assurance System(IEQAS), we attended the opening ceremony of the China Study Abroad Center (Shandong), which was designated to increase the attraction of foreign students, and discussed policies with representatives of cooperative study abroad centers. A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was also signed with Qingdao University to exchange creative global higher education design and innovative content.

In addition, we agreed to cooperate with the Qingdao Korean Association in creating joint value by establishing a region, industry, and academic platform in response to changes in the higher education environment.

President Ryu Wanha said, “With the goal of becoming a glocal talent training university that leads the vision for the future, we plan to secure regional coexistence and sustainability by nurturing outstanding foreign talent that fits the needs of local industries. In particular, we will lead the development of the region and the university through our university’s innovative glocal education program in connection with the hosting of the 2025 APEC Gyeongju.”
