Dongguk University Gyeongju Campus Renamed As ‘WISE Campus’ 

Innovate wisely within founding philosophy and develop smartly through fusion

Dongguk University Gyeongju Campus has changed its name to ‘WISE Campus’.

At the meeting of the 344th Board of Directors of the School Foundation, the directors decided to change the articles of incorporation and changed our name to WISE Campus after reporting the new name to the Ministry of Education.

The acronym WISE means Wise Innovation, Smart Evolution. The campus, which cherishes the Buddhist spirit, will wisely innovate and smartly develop itself through the practice of fusion. 

In accordance with the school development plan, Dongguk University Gyeongju Campus has changed its name to strengthen the university's competitiveness since March 2021.

Yi, Young Kyoung, president of Dongguk University WISE Campus, said, "Our university changed the university's constitution and strengthened competitiveness by reorganizing the school systems along with the name change of the campus. We will continue to develop into a university that nurtures future talents.”
